Ferns in the West Virginia Mountains

Ferns are such a familiar site in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. In order for you to appreciate their beauty you have to slow down and look. I decided to use black and white for this subject because the ferns in color seem to get lost in the sea of the lush green vegetation on the forest floor.
