When I shoot sports photography I like using a telephoto lens so I can put myself in the middle of the action. In this image I used a 200mm lens so I could compact the information causing the swimmers to look like they are almost on top of each other. This helps to convey the competitiveness and excitement generated by these athletes. LynnFreeny.com
