When I am shooting I always have the thought, is this a black and white subject or is it more suited for color. This subject was more about tone than it was about color. I converted the image to a black and white by changing to lab colors then saving only the lightness channel. This is one of the many ways you can convert a color digital file to black and white using Adobe Photoshop. LynnFreeny.com
