Some one told me to go down to Black Mountain North Carolina to find the best bright colors one fall. When I arrived in Black Mountain the fall colors were muted. I was just heading out of town toward the Blue Ridge Parkway when I saw this old building on the side of the road. I set up my tripod and composed the image then at the last minute I decided something was missing. I reached above my camera to cast my own shadow on the door.
