Ice Forming Over The Little River Great Smoky Mountains National Park

It must be close to zero to have ice over moving water form. These unusual patterns are created by the water refreezes several times.

Base Fiddle Player in Cades Cove

Sometimes you need to get to a very low angle on a subject. I set the camera on auto focus with a 17mm lens and put the camera almost on the ground without looking through the camera. Yes it is a kind of guess work when it comes to the composition. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Fear not! Just try it!
